Breaches & Consequences

What happens if my Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account is profitable but I exceed the Daily Loss Limit?

If a trader’s Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account is profitable but exceeds the Daily Loss Limit in Hola Prime A/C, they might still get 100% of their reward and fee reimbursement (if applicable) under these conditions:

1. No single trade should have more simulated profit or loss than 1% of the initial account balance

2. All trades should have Stop Loss

Both the conditions must be met.

Note: This rule only applies when the Daily Loss Limit is exceeded. In case of a breach due to Prohibited Trading Activities or any other trading rules, overall profit in the account, and any pending payouts or rewards will be forfeited.

What is a hard breach, and what are the consequences?

This is a severe violation of the firm’s rules. If this happens during a challenge, or in your Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account, it will be closed.

Hard Breaches:

(i) Hitting the Daily Loss Limit or the Max. Loss Limit

(ii) Inactivity of 30 Calendar days

(iii) Using any of our Prohibited Trading Strategies or violating any Trading Rules.

For example, if you have a $100,000 account and you grow that account to $110,000. If your account has a hard breach we would close the account.

However, if a trader’s Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account has simulated profits but surpasses the Daily Loss Limit, they might still get 100% of their simulated profits or any reimbursement/rewards(as applicable)  under these conditions:

1. No single trade should have more simulated profit or loss than 1% of the initial account balance

2. All trades should have Stop Loss

What is a soft breach, and what are the consequences?

A soft breach is a minor violation and doesn’t lead to account termination. When this happens, we’ll close out the trade(s) that broke the rule, but you can step back in and keep trading in your Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account

For 2-Step Pro (Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account only) -

News Trading

Traders can hold trades at any time but are not allowed to execute (open or close) any trade on the instruments affected by high-impact news during the window of 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release of such news. The execution of trade includes market execution as well as pending orders, including Stop Loss and Take Profit orders. Other non-targeted instruments (affected by low and medium-impact news) can be traded normally.

Any profits generated from trades executed during the restricted period will be reversed. This is because of the high volatility around the time of such news releases, when often there is a lot of slippage in real markets, and trading can be highly risky at such times.

At Hola Prime, we want our traders to trade as if it is their own money and they are trading in real markets.

Hence, if you are being reckless in your trading account, we will terminate your account.

Weekend Holding

It is considered a soft breach. While it’s not a severe violation, traders should remain mindful of this rule to avoid disruptions and maintain compliance. Soft breaches offer traders a second chance to adjust their strategies while keeping their Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts active.

How are news trading and weekend holding soft breaches in 2-Step Pro account, and how will the breach be executed by the system in these cases?

News trading is normally allowed in the Challenge Phase. However, in the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account, traders can hold trades at any time but are not allowed to execute (open or close) any trade on the instruments affected by high-impact news, during the window of 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release of such news.

Hence if you are being reckless in your trading account, we will terminate your account.

Weekend Holding and its Execution of Breach:

Holding of trades over the weekends is allowed in Challenge Phases 1 and 2 of Pro Accounts. However, for Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts, weekend holding is not allowed and any trade remaining open at 15:45 EST time on Friday will be automatically closed by the system. The account will be disabled, and you can get the accounts re-enabled to continue trading Monday onwards.

Note: Profit from trades that are closed by the system on Friday will be counted towards the payout. Similarly, the trader is responsible for the violation in case any loss/deductions result in the breach of the daily loss limit or max. loss limit in the respective account.
