Policy on News Trading and Weekend Position Holding
News Trading Rules
Prime Accounts
In Prime Challenge accounts, news trading is freely allowed without any restrictions in both the Challenge and Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account phases. You may open, hold, and close trades around all news events without any special limitations.
2-Step Pro Account
In the Challenge Phase of 2-Step Pro account, news trading is normally allowed. However, In the Funded phase, you can hold trades at any time, but you are not allowed to execute (open or close) any trade on instruments affected by high‑impact news during the window of 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release.
Execution includes:
-
Market orders (open/close).
-
Pending orders (limit/stop).
-
Stop‑Loss and Take‑Profit activations.
Other non‑targeted instruments (those only affected by low‑ or medium‑impact news) can be traded normally. Any profits generated from trades executed during the restricted period on affected instruments will be reversed, and reckless trading intended to exploit high‑impact volatility can lead to account termination.
Direct Model – Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts
In Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts issued under the Direct Model, news trading is not allowed on affected instruments during high‑impact events.
-
You can hold trades at any time, but you cannot execute (open or close) any trade on instruments affected by high‑impact news from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the news release.
-
Execution again includes market orders, pending orders, Stop‑Loss, and Take‑Profit.
You may hold trades opened more than 5 minutes before the news, but if your SL or TP is triggered within the restricted window, it is treated as a violation and leads to account closure.
Other non‑targeted instruments (impacted only by low‑ or medium‑impact news) can be traded normally.
Practical Examples
-
You can trade AUDNZD during a US CPI release, as it does not directly involve USD.
-
You cannot open or close USDJPY or GBPUSD from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the CPI release.
Timing example for a High‑Impact News event at 03:00 EST:
-
Condition I: You are not allowed to open or close any trade (including limit, stop, TP & SL) between 02:55 and 03:05.
-
Condition II: If you open a trade before 02:55 but close it (including via limit, stop, TP or SL) between 02:55 and 03:05, it is a violation of the Terms of Service.
-
Condition III: If you open a trade before 02:55 and close it after 03:05, the trade is valid and the profit will be counted.
For USD‑related high‑impact news, the restriction applies to all instruments with USD in the pair and the USD indices offered, namely US30, NAS100, and SPX500.

Weekend Position Holding Rules
Prime Accounts
In Prime Challenge and Prime Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts, traders can trade 24×7 and are allowed to hold positions over the weekend. You are not required to close your positions before the weekend; open trades can remain running through market close and reopen.
2-Step Pro Account
-
Challenge Phase: Holding trades over the weekend is normally allowed in the Challenge Phase.
-
Funded Phase: Weekend holding is not allowed. Any trade still open at 15:45 EST on Friday will be automatically closed by the system. The account will be temporarily disabled and automatically re-enabled on Monday.
Direct Model – Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts
In Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts issued under the Direct Model, holding trades over the weekend is not allowed and is treated as a hard breach. You must ensure all trades are closed before 15:45 EST on Friday.
-
Any trades left open at 15:45 EST will be automatically closed by the system.
-
The account will then be terminated due to violation of the weekend‑holding rule.
