Hola Prime 2-Step Pro Challenge
Phases for the 2-Step Pro Challenge
The Hola Prime 2-Step Pro challenge consists of two phases that must be completed to become a Hola Prime trader and gain access to a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account. After purchasing the account, traders will straightaway receive their login credentials via email, which can also be viewed through the ‘Account Overview’ tab on the dashboard by clicking the ‘Key’ icon.
Next Steps After Passing the Phase 2 Challenge
Once you hit your profit target in Phase 2, your Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account involves a standard verification process:
-
Risk Review: Our Risk Team will promptly conduct a review of your entire challenge phase to ensure all rules were followed.
-
KYC & Agreements: In the meantime, you can upload your documents for KYC and sign your contract under the “Agreements” tab.
-
Account Issuance: After the review is finalized, you will receive the credentials for your official Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account.
The Challenge Phases:
These phases are designed to test your ability to achieve goals while showing disciplined risk management over a consistent period. To succeed, it is important to have a flexible trading system and a strong risk management strategy.
Phase 1: Demonstrate your ability to reach the profit target while managing risk.
Phase 2: Confirm your consistency to prove your performance wasn't just a one-time event.
Trading Objectives:
-
Achieve the Profit Targets: Reach the specified targets for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 to pass the evaluation.
-
-
Phase 1 Target: Traders need to earn a profit equal to 8% of the initial account balance.
-
Phase 2 Target: In the second phase, the profit target decreases to just 5% based on the initial account balance.
-
-
Complete a minimum of 2 trading days: Trade for at least 2 separate days in each phase to qualify for the next step.
-
Adhere to all trading rules: If any of the rules are not followed, the account will be permanently suspended (though you may purchase a new challenge to try again)
The Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account
Once you successfully pass the review and KYC process, you will be offered the opportunity to trade on the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account and begin earning payouts.
Trading Rules - Account Violations (Hard Breach)
A hard breach is a critical violation of core risk management rules that leads to the immediate and permanent termination of the trading account.
Daily Loss Limit:
The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount you can lose in a single day. For Phase 1 and 2 Challenge Accounts, this limit is set at 5% (4% for $200k accounts) of the previous day's closing balance.
The Formula: Daily Loss Limit = Previous Day's Closing Balance - (Previous Day's Closing Balance × 5%)
Calculation: The loss for the day is the sum of your current floating PnL plus the total PnL of closed trades for that day.
Example 1 ($100k Account): Assume your initial account balance is $100,000. The Daily Loss Limit is 5%, which equals $5,000. This means your equity or balance cannot fall below $95,000 ($100,000 − $5,000) at any time during the day.
Example 2 (Intraday Profit): If at the end of day 2, your account’s closing balance is $110,000, then the loss limit for Day 3 would be $5,500 ($110,000 * 5%). This means your equity on Day 3 can't go below $104,500. If during the day, you make a profit of $7,000, then the allowable loss for that day increases to $12,500 ($110,000 * 5% + $7,000).
Example 3 (Floating Loss): You have a $110,000 trading account with a $5,500 daily limit. If you realize a closed loss of $3,000 and then initiate another trade, your account will breach the rule if your running trades exceed a floating loss of $2,500.
Daily Reset Timer: The Daily Loss Limit resets every day at 17:00 EST server time. You can always monitor the reset timer on your Hola Prime dashboard to see exactly when your daily loss limit resets.
Max. Loss Limit:
The Max. Loss Limit (also known as the Maximum Drawdown) is the ultimate safety net for your account. For Phase 1 and 2 Challenge Accounts, this limit is set at 10% (8% for $200k accounts) of the Initial Account Balance. If your account balance or equity ever drops below the 90% (92% for $200K accounts) threshold of your initial balance, the account will be permanently closed.
The Formula: Max. Loss Limit = Initial Balance – (Initial Balance × 10%)
Example: The Standard "Floor"
You purchase a $100,000 2-Step Pro account.
Calculation: 10% of $100,000 is $10,000.
The "Floor": Your account equity or balance can never drop below $90,000 ($100,000 – $10,000)
Outcome: Whether it is day 1 or day 50, if your equity or balance falls below $90,000, the account is terminated.
Calculation Details: The rule states that the sum of the current floating PnL (Profit and Loss) and the realized PnL (Profit and Loss) on all closed positions must not hit the Max. Loss Limit.
- A stop loss must be placed within 3 minutes of opening a position or before closing the position, whichever occurs first.
- If no stop loss is placed within this timeframe, the position is considered to have infinite risk by default.
- Failure to comply with this requirement constitutes a hard breach and may result in account termination.
- Layering / Splitting Positions
- 10-Minute Re-entry Rule
The combined risk of all these positions cannot exceed the 2% limit. View Example ▾
Risk per Trade Idea Assessment
Their cumulative risk is tracked against the 2% limit. View Example ▾
Risk per Trade Idea Assessment
- Trade 2 was opened 31 minutes after Trade 1 had been closed. As the time gap exceeded 10 minutes, Trade 2 is classified as a new trade idea.
- Trade 3 was opened 5 minutes after Trade 2 had been closed. As it was executed on the same trading instrument, in the same direction, and within 10 minutes of the previous position being closed, it is considered a continuation of the same trade idea.
- Trade 4 was opened 6 minutes after Trade 3 had been closed. Since it was executed on the same trading instrument, in the same direction, and within 10 minutes, it is also considered a continuation of the same trade idea.
The combined risk of all related positions must not exceed the 2% limit. View Example ▾

Inactivity
Any trading account (challenge or Funded) inactive for consecutive 30 calendar days will be permanently suspended. A trading day refers to a day when at least one trade is opened as it counts towards an active trading day. Closing the trade, modifying the stop loss or take profit, or placing a pending order does not count as a trading day.
Example: If your last trade was opened on January 1st, you must open a new position by January 30th. If no activity occurs by January 31st, the account is breached due to inactivity.
Trading Rules - Additional Guidelines (Soft Breach)
A soft breach is a minor violation that does not lead to account closure. Instead, it results in specific trade adjustments or temporary restrictions to ensure adherence to risk standards.
News Trading and Weekend holding:
News trading and weekend holding is normally allowed in the Challenge Phase. However, it can't be exercised in the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts.
- News Trading: Traders can hold trades at any time but are not allowed to execute (open or close) any trade on the instruments affected by high-impact news during the window of 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release of such news. The execution of trade includes market execution as well as pending orders, including stop-loss and take-profit orders. Other non-targeted instruments (affected by low- and medium-impact news) can be traded normally.
Any profits generated from trades executed during the restricted period will be reversed. Reckless trading around high-impact news with the intent to exploit volatility can lead to account termination. -
Weekend Holding: Holding trades over the weekends is normally allowed in the Challenge Phase. However, for Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts, weekend holding is not allowed, and any trade remaining open at 15:45 EST time on Friday will be automatically closed by the system. The account will be disabled, and you can get the accounts re-enabled to continue trading Monday onwards.
Why are trades closed at 15:45 EST?
Traders might get a worse fill if trades were closed at 17:00 EST when the weekend rollover takes place. To avoid these trades are being closed at 15:45 EST. Additionally, it takes us time to go over all accounts and close trades in bulk.
Note: Profit from trades that are closed by the system on Friday will be counted towards the payout. Similarly, the trader is responsible for the violation in case any loss/deductions result in the breach of the daily loss limit or max. loss limit in the respective account.
Maximum Exposure Limits
It is a cap on the total lot size of all your active (open) trades. This is designed to prevent "over-leveraging," where a trader takes a position so large that a small market move could destroy the account.
This rule applies exclusively to 2-Step Pro accounts. It does not apply to $5,000 or $10,000 accounts.
Note: "Maximum Lots" is the total across all trades. For example, on a $100,000 account, you could have four 10-lot trades open, or forty 1-lot trades open.
Please click on this link for more details here:What happens if you exceed the lot limit?
This will be considered as a soft breach. The moment you open a trade that pushes your total exposure above the limit:
-
Automatic Closure: The system will automatically close all open trades and disable your account. Any profits earned from trades that exceeded the limits will be deducted.
-
Account Disabled (The "Warning" Phase): If it is your first breach, your account can be re-enabled upon request. However, if the deduction of excess profits causes your account balance to drop below the Daily Loss Limit or Max. Loss Limit, the account will be considered failed.
Profit Deduction (The Second Breach): A second violation is much stricter. It results in the deduction of profits, a reduction of your profit split to 30%, and account termination.
Passing Requirements
To successfully complete the 2-Step Pro Challenge and qualify for a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account, you must meet all the following milestones. These are not "breach" rules but rather targets that must be reached to verify your trading performance.
Profit Target:
Achieve a specified profit targets to advance through the evaluation phases and gain access to a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account:
-
Phase 1: Traders need to earn a profit equal to 8% of the initial account balance.
-
Phase 2: The profit target decreases to just 5% based on the initial account balance.
Example: For a trader starting with a $100,000 account size, they should aim for $8,000 profit in Phase 1 and $5,000 profit in Phase 2, while ensuring compliance with drawdown rules, to access the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account.
Minimum Trading Days:
You are required to reach the profit target while following all other rules and trading for a minimum of 2 days in each challenge phase.
Example:
- Monday (Day 1): You open three trades on EUR/USD, reaching a total realized profit of $5,500
- Tuesday (Day 2): You open three trades on EUR/USD, reaching a total profit of $4,500
- Result: Requirement Met. By placing a trade on a second calendar day, you have fulfilled the 2-day minimum.
Note : Overnight holding is fully permitted across all Challenge and Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts. This allows you to maintain your positions without interruption, providing the professional flexibility needed to capitalize on long-term strategies and market trends that unfold beyond standard session hours.
