Hi how can we help?

Which holidays affect my trading schedule?

Early Market Closures on Holidays

On holidays when markets close early, Hola Prime’s Risk Management team will begin automatically flattening all open positions and canceling any active orders starting at 11:58 AM CT. While this is an added safeguard to assist traders, it is not guaranteed, so it’s essential to monitor holiday trading hours and close all positions yourself before market close to avoid violations.

When preparing to trade during holidays, it’s important to understand whether your trading platform and data provider follow the CME Holiday Protocol. Refer to the table below to verify if your platform adheres to this standard.

CME Protocol Compliance by Platform

Hola Prime Project X as trading platform and data provider doesn’t follow the CME Holiday Protocol. Hence, each calendar day is treated individually—even during holidays with shortened hours. This means that daily P&L and drawdown limits reset at the end of each trading day, regardless of CME’s market classification.

Holiday Trading Hours & Flattening Requirements

The following holidays are observed by the CME with either full market closures or abbreviated trading hours. Failure to close positions before early market close is considered a rule violation.
